Conference “Migration, Mobility, Cross-Culture” in Warsaw
In the days of 15-16th of September 2012 the Conference on ‘Migration, Mobility, Cross-culture” organised by Sietar Poland was held in Warsaw. The two days’ event was the opportunity to present the newest research on cross-culture issues, to discuss the role and profile of cultural consultant, to exchange the newest approach and teaching tools helping to enhance the intercultural competencies. The conference has offered workshops of different topics – on cross-culture management, emigration and immigration. In “business” topics – we have discussed the model of cultural intelligence, intercultural competencies required from managers, challenges faced by the managers managing virtual teams.
Wiola Malota has presented the research done by Dean Foster and Nicole Barile, exploring the connection between people’s responses to the economic crisis and their culture. This presentation has raised high attention among audience as we face now the second wave of the crisis and the outcome of the research could be valuable tip for decisonmakers to be considered.
